Yummy Pitaya Smoothie Increases Brain Power!
When I visited Nicaragua last summer I went crazy for the daily dose of pitaya smoothies! I couldn't get enough of the vibrant color and incredible taste...it certainly acted like a super food and made me very happy! Being a high in fiber, the pitaya, or dragon fruit, slows the flow of glucose to your brain by distributing it better over time.
1 frozen packet pitaya (like Pitaya Plus)
1/4 cup rasberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 an avocado
1 Tbsp Flaxseeds
1 cup spinach
1 1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or water)
1 tsp RAW Honey
Combine all ingredients into a blender; be sure to add the soft ingredients first.
Blend on medium - high for 30 seconds or until desired consistency.
Pour into a glass and enjoy:)
